Rigid plastic analysis makes use of the assumption that the elastic deformation is so small that it can be ignored. Therefore, in using this method of analysis, the material behaves as if the structure does not deform until it collapses plastically. This work presents a formulation for non-linear dynamic analysis of unreinforced masonry structures using rigid block models.
